Every now and again you land a fantastic commission which surpasses your expectation, and this was it. Specialist Northampton studio Frasershot were commissioned to shoot the famous Lancaster Bomber in the place where it practised its runs all those years ago. The Eyebrook, just outside Rockingham was used back in 1943 for low level practice by Lancaster bombers of 617 squadron, as final practice for the Dambusters mission. The flight would swing into the valley and give us two passes over the reservoir.
We were given the exact flightpath of the plane and were to cover events from the ground...... With kit all prepped and ready to shoot in they came, a truly amazing experience.
